YOU NEED THIS BOOK - NO LIE. This book allowed me to ask the right questions to find the right lawyer and know exactly what I needed to do to save my mother's life savings AFTER she went into a Nursing Home and BEFORE she went onto Medicaid. All I can tell you is I AM CHEAP but the cost of this book $47.00 was minimal next to the $60,000 yes, that's right, $60,000 that my Mother was able to save after learning what to do in this book. And you don't have to read it cover to cover. Just go right toward your scenario, take notes and follow what it tells you to do. Every time I think that I don't need this book anymore one of my friends comes to me with their elder parent on route to the Nursing Home and I simply loan them the book. I just ordered the updated edition due to all the changes in the 2013 health care laws. I highly recommend this book to anyone, for your loved one or for yourself. Hey, we all get old so we better prepare ! Don't wait till it's too late. And even if you have waited and it seems too late, this book will still be able to help you out big time ! Good luck !!

Having recently had the "opportunity" of getting an elderly relative approved for Medicaid, I found this book helpful in understanding the concepts and details the legal beagle we hired was throwing at us with abandon - and less than stellar understanding of the state requirements himself. A good overview of the obscenity that is the way we pay for nursing home care in this benighted country.With some online digging, for both federal and your own state requirements, much of the information in this book is available for much less cost - the book is WAY overpriced. Nonetheless, the book ties together details in a way that certainly isn't blindingly obvious from state and federal Web sites. The punch line, though, is that you need to hire a local attorney.

This book contained a lot of good information for a general understanding of Medicaid. Lots of tips on how to protect your assets before becoming Medicaid eligible. Everyone should learn how to protect themselves from long term health care costs.It could have given more information about what to do if it's too late to protect assets. I would have appreciated case studies on oddball circumstances that aren't so cut and dry. There was a web based forum you could look at, but it still left a lot unanswered.

You may have just saved our lived. The techniques you share in your book are a must-read for anyone with parents approaching retirement age or already retired parents, when nursing home is a part of the equation.

It`s not cheap but beats all other books I have read that had no detail. This has info by state and more specific than any other book. Pay the extra and buy this vs others with general info only! You`ll still need a lawyer but you`ll be better prepared!!

This is a lot of fun to read. It's not Terry Pratchett's best, but it's damned good. If it was anyone else, I'd give it five stars, but I'm comparing it to Pratchett's oeuvre--which is a hard standard to measure up to. Some of the humor is kind of lame, but a lot of it is great, and the story itself will draw you in and keep you reading until the end.

This is what a good book should be. It should be thought provoking. It should be a commentary on life. But above all it must, MUST be enjoyable. Terry Pratchett has always been a master of this, and "Feet of Clay" is a fine example of this.The novel is framed as a murder-mysetery, but is not so much of a whodunit as it is a HOWdunit, with the reader anxiously scrabbling for answers along with our protagonist, Commander Sir Samuel Vimes of the City Watch. But tied in is the (mostly) comedic side plot of the possibility that Nobby Nobbs, a man who needs written proof he's not a monkey, may be the heir incumbent to the defunct Earl of Anhk. And something strange is happening with the golems, clay automatons who work ceaselessly and without complaint....And, wound through the whole novel, is the curious motif of freedom, with some searching for it, some trying to snuff it out, and most being too afraid to hold onto it.My only complaint about the novel is the sequences involving Nobby, usually a comedic side character in other books, can become somewhat cringe comedy, and one may find themselves skimming those portions.Also, specifically for the ebook, there is a passage about one quarter to midway, where there is a large blank portion before the story resumes. THIS IS OKAY. I had thought that the book was missing a passage, but after hunting down a physical copy in a bookstore I found it was merely a formatting error. Someone should fix that, but it's not going to effect your reading enjoyment.Do read. Please.

I'm a huge Terry Pratchett fan(RIP, Terry. We'll see you hubwards), so it comes as no surprise that I knew that he could pull off a whodunnit like no one else in the business. And boy, does he.The Night watch series is truly one of a kind...We have Sam Vimes, the most noble ignoble you'll ever hope to meet. His Sgt, Fred Colon, who has a distrust of foreigners unlike anything you've seen this side of the Mississippi. Corporal Cecil Wormsborough St. John "Nobby" Nobbs, who has to carry a card around stating that he is, in fact, human. Corporal Carrot Ironfoundersson, a 6'5" dwarf. Cheery Littlebottom, the first dwarf to identify as female (she even wears lipstick, much to Vimes' confusion). Corporal Detritus, full-time troll, part time genius, All-time battering ram. Angua, part-time werewolf. And a few zombies. Gnomes. And just about everything else that might roam around the disc(save Vampires).It starts out with a man being mummified in a vat of latex used to make...well, "male contraceptives", let's say. And it just gets more insane from there. You never know where the book is going, and that's awesome. It keeps the pages turning, and the laughs coming.

I genuinely love Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, but I'd like to see the *start* of a Kindle book when I open it for the very first time, and not page 76. Only the Discworld books have done this to me, and at least 10 of the 19 books I've read so far have done this. Why these books would do this, I have no clue, but they keep doing it, and it's more than a little annoying at this point.

Feet of Clay was both another solid entry to the Watch series and an amazing and subtle treatise on personal responsibility, to one's self and one's peers. My takeaway from the main storyline concerning golems was that you cannot be aware of the suffering of others and consider yourself to be truly self-aware. I really appreciate how multi-dimensional the characters of the Discworld books are. Someone who might be a villain or is perceived that way at the beginning of a book becomes an ally by the end, and while the villains can be a little one-dimensional they are still well-written. I spent a long time being aware of the Discworld books and not reading them, and I wish I had tried them earlier in my life. They are always a delight, for the most part full of comedy, vivid descriptions, action, and engaging characters. Vimes, Carrot, Angua, Cheri, Detritus, Sgt. Colon and Nobby are all in top form, especially the latter.

I do not believe in grade inflation and I don't think I have ever rated a book as a 5 before. Even so, I would actually give this one a 7 if I could. If you haven't read any Terry Pratchett, those of us who have will drag you to your first book like converts who love their new religion. And, once you read a book, you too will be converted. But don't worry, we are not a demanding group; all you must do is read as much Pratchett as you like. It doesn't matter in what order you read them. It won't be our fault if you loose your job because you stay home reading all the time. I've read a lot of books by a lot of authors and there is no one close to Terry Pratchett for a good time. If you are not a fantasy fan, don't worry. I'm not either; my teenage son converted me. Once you accept the context that there are wizards and trolls and dwarfs and other creatures around, Discworld, the planet that Pratchett has created, is just like Earth, with the very same kinds of people, regardless of their race, or maybe I mean species. This particular book involves an uprising of the Golems, ancient pottery people which are treated like slaves, and a mystery for the head of the police, Sam Vimes, one of my favorite characters. While Agua and Captain Carrot try to straighten out the Golems, Sam is trying, with little success, to protect Vetinari, who is kind of a benevolent dictator. It's unbelievably funny, in that dry, understated, British way. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a Pratchett Discworld book, and this is a great one to start with.

I really loved these three stories, which demonstrate the diversity of Evangeline's writing. Even though all three are futuristic sci-fi, each story showcases a completely different aspect of her writing style: First, the somewhat contemporary plot of 'Time Machine'; second, the classic sci-fi dilemma presented in 'Mirror'; and third, a futuristic Tarzan presented in 'Wild-Men'. I am somewhat of a science fiction buff as well as an avid romance reader, and these tales really satisfied both of those cravings without the long chapters of background and world building that are usually present in these types of stories. I don't know how Evangeline immerses the reader into these worlds so quickly, she really has it down to a fine art. I marvel that she can cover so much in so little time.The plots are detailed and well-executed, which allow you to suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy the ride. After I finished 'The Girl, The Geek and The Time Machine', I had to laugh. I mean, a time machine that runs on sex - I love it! I'm sure there are some science geeks out there who would get going on that one right away if they thought it would work! The story was super hot, and the hero was awesome - who doesn't want a hot guy in a lab coat who can invent a time machine?! This one was nice because H/h had already had a prior working relationship and he already had a crush on her.The greatest science fiction always has a kind of moral dilemma or cautionary vision of humanity in it, which has been lost in a lot of the more recent popular writings and television. I'm thinking of classics like Fahrenheit 451 or Soylent Green. There are a few movies more recently which have had this kind of dilemma, such as Gattaca, The Island, Source Code and Looper. But I really liked the 'Mirror of the Heart' because it gets to the heart of the kind of dilemma that cloning would present. It's a story that makes you think, not a feel-good-and-go-to-sleep type of story.'Wild-Men and Wormholes' showcases Evangeline's imagination in a great twist on the original Tarzan. The hero in this story highlights the reason why I read Evangeline on a regular basis. Some of them are just so *good*. A man raised in a tribe where everyone communicates by thought would be a man who doesn't lie, cheat, or steal. He is balanced, whole in mind, and certainly in body, and has eyes only for the heroine. The juxtaposition of the hero with the villain is a classic scenario which is, once again, well-executed and he is saved by quick thinking rather than brute force, which makes him well-matched to the heroine.Evangeline, if you read this would you please, please, do a spin on Superman or Batman? You pegged Vin Diesel to a tee, and only you can do them justice!!!

`The Girl, The Geek, and the Time Machine'To save her job Kara Wilson is willing to do anything, even strip naked with a co-worker who's working on a time machine and travel back into time. Once she sees how well the machine works she uses it to fix other aspects of her life, much to the disappointment of the sexy scientist who invented it.`The Girl, The Geek, and the Time Machine' is sweet, sexy and very funny. Kara cracked me up. Her determination to make her fiancé all that she wants him to be while rubbing up naked with Ethan is quite outrageous. She quickly learns tampering with the past can be disastrous for the future. `The Girl, The Geek, and the Time Machine' was the perfect story to begin this anthology it compelled me to want to read more.`Mirror of the Heart'Full figured and beautiful Taylor Simms is about to have an out of this world experience with a man who can appreciate every inch of her.`Mirror of the Heart' is quite good with an interesting plot. The plot is not only hot but there is also sadness to it where Reese is concerned. Taylor was needed for Reese to do his job, but she was also needed for him to experience pleasure that not only touched his heart but healed it as well. I liked this story and enjoyed the twist to it.`Wild-Men and Wormholes'Ariel Stone-Tarrington is an anthropologist, exploring is in her blood. On her latest expedition a man who is equally interested in exploring her as she is in exploring him rescues Ariel. Kor is like no man Ariel has ever encountered and her spineless rodent of a fiancé could never compare.`Wild-Men and Wormholes' is all about the discovery and treasures you find when you are willing to be adventurous and take chances. Ariel and Kor found that with each other, and `Wild-Men and Wormholes' was the perfect conclusion to this Anthology.Pleasure Planet is a very hot and sexy anthology. Evangeline Anderson shows off her comedic talents as well as her sensual side with these stories. I am a huge fan of Evangeline Anderson and I really enjoyed this book as well. Evangeline Anderson always manages to surprise me, coming up with great plots, twists and turns that intrigue and fascinate! This is another fine example of this author's writing, provocative, well written, erotic, occasionally dark and suspenseful to the last page. I honestly can't wait for her next work!

Once again Evangeline Anderson far surpassed anything that you might think would happen in a plot by twists and turns that give you that Ah Huh Moment! Her work is always so entertaining that you don't want to miss any little obscure mention that might make you realize what is around the corner. And when you get to that corner, you're so wrong and Evangeline has woven you into her web of love, honor, trust and happily ever after. Hudus!!!!!

It was a good read but not a great one IMO. Thats fine. I didn't realise that it was 3 short stories, a format I don't find very satisfying.Each story was well told but I was disappointed at the end of them as they were really starting to go somewhere. I love this authors work and will definately read more of her stories.

I loved The Pleasure Palace, but I was a little disappointed with this one. There are 3 novellas. I thought the last one was quite good, but thought the first two were really rather boring. Could not really recommend this.

Gosh, how to capture what I feel about Mr Mulfingers books? I bought all three books over two years ago now by Mr Mulfinger; The Cabin, Back to the Cabin and Cabinology as my cabin fever begun to swell in me and I was seriously considering buying a little place in Utah of my own. Well, two years later, with a whole lot of sacrifice, dedication, sweat, tears and some blood, I have a property of my own and Mr Mulfingers books are the center pieces of my bookshelf. All three of the books I would say are a must for anyone looking for inspiration for their cabin, or harboring a secret dream of having one. The Cabin will keep you company on chilly evenings and lazy mornings. It inspires and fires the imagination over possibilities that exist if you do wonder whether owning a piece of land with a little cabin in the wilderness is something for you. From personal experience, it changes your life. It was one of the best decisions I have done in my life. Mr Mulfingers books really help in bringing your lose thoughts down to earth, with a structure of confidence that you can really buy property, at what ever stage of life and financial situation you are in. Thank you.

This is a wonderful book for multiple reasons. First, it's inspirational if you are considering a cabin or smaller space. This is not a "how to" book, but rather a philosophical look at what makes a cabin, well what make a structure a cabin. It has a variety of cabins, all under 1300 feet ranging from relatively tiny, quirky, to beautiful and functional. This is more of a "coffee table book" than a construction guide. In fact, there's nothing related to construction other than in the pictures or perhaps some detail of a specific cabin's history. If you're in love with cabins, this is a book you need. If you're not in love with cabins, prepare to be.

This is my favorite architecture book of all time. Great, inspirational cabins with pictures and floorplan drawings.Not sure why this book is not available for Kindle. I would love to be able to have it on the iPad Kindle app.

This book if full of wonderful cabins and insights of those that built or developed them. I enjoyed reading it immensely and it will remain in my library always. A few months after getting the book, I was able to buy a cabin on a lake in Minnesota. I used several of the ideas that I saw in the book for my cabin. One of the cabins profiled had interior walls that were painted green. The gentleman that owned this particular property thought that darker colored walls tended to focus people's eyes on the windows and outdoor scenery. I immediately painted the stark white walls in my cabin and have received many compliments of the new pine green color. This is just one of many examples that can be found in the book. From the most basic and modest to the most ornate and spectacular, this book profiles them all.A word of caution, however. Once you get this book, you will yearn for a cabin of your own.

If you are interested in log homes or homes that are all wood inside, this is your book. We are looking more at cottage type homes, so we will return this book.

If you have any interest in cabins, especially building one yourself, this book is true to its title. It truly is inspirational on all levels. It includes a cornucopia of cabins from rustic to modern to pique your imagination, along with an accompanying backstory, individual floor plans, and site layout for each one. This book is complete in its artistry and highly recommended.

I thought there would be more plans. Not just a history of cabins.

This book is like preaching to the choir. I love rustic cabins and cottages, and this book is so well put together with excellent writing and photography. It did, kinda, lose me in the last section with the more modern cabins, as I am a stone and square timber kinda guy, but it was interesting for comparison's sake.
