The library discarded this book and I bought t from an Amazon reseller. I can see why it was discarded. It gives you only 2 pages of instructions and these are just crude pencil sketches. Nowhere does the author take you step by step on how she creates her flowers. After a few pages of crude pencil sketches it is then just page after page of finished paintings supposedly showing you all her amazing concepts. No step by step. No examples of technique. Just a coffee table book of her finished work to be honest. Misleading description. See photos attached.

Patricia takes the would be painter through her approach to painting flowers in oils and shows how approachable this subject matter is.I love the paintings and the easy painterly approach that informs her style.Every thing is there from choice of color to canvas, to application and so forth.for me having such beautiful examples makes going to the easel more likely.

I bought this book AND another book by her which has information on her portrait paintings. Since it is Moran's fliowrts that impress me most, this book has far more relevance than the other. Though you may feel otherwise.

This is a very, good reference book, but I would have loved a DVD on the subject. The artist really knows her subject matter.
